Do Christians believe in 3 gods?

Many Muslims are thinking that Christians believe in “3 gods”. But this is not true, the official doctrine of the Trinity declares there is only ONE God: “While distinct in their relations with one another, they are ONE in all else.” [1]. Also according to the New Testament there is only ONE God:

“Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.” (Acts 17:23-25).

“Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one.“ (1 Corinthians 8:4).

“Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one.” (Galatians 3:20).

“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5).
