Are Bible verses saying that Jesus is God?

1. Pre-existence as God

John 1:1-14 - “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”... “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us”.
John 8:58 - “Then Jesus said to them, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am’”.
John 16:28 - “I came from the Father and entered the world”.
Revelation 1:8 - “’I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,’” says the Lord, ‘who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty’”.
Revelation 22:13 - “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
Conclusion: Jesus existed before his birth and came from God.

2. Conception as God

Matthew 1:23 - “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us”.
John 1:1-14 - “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”... “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us”.
Philippians 2:5-7 - “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond-servant, and coming in the likeness of men”.
1 Timothy 3:16 - “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh”.
Conclusion: The eternal Word of God and the temporal created human being became one in Jesus Christ.

3. Mighty power as God

Matthew 17 - On a high mountain in Israel, Jesus was transformed into a divine being: “He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light” (Matthew 17:2). The event continued with a bright cloud which covered them, and a voice from the cloud said:
“This is my Son” (Matthew 17:5).
For a short time, Jesus pulled back his temporal body and revealed his divine nature within. He was demonstrating that he was God in a temporal body while he was on earth. The Father confirmed that he is the Son of God.
Mark 4 - Jesus showed he has all power and it is power of his own: “And he awoke and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ’Peace! Be still!’ And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm” (Mark 4:39). Only God has the power to stop the wind and the sea (Psalm 107:26-30). Jesus used his own power, so Jesus is God:
“Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” (Mark 4:41).
Conclusion: Jesus has the same power on earth as God. Jesus is God.

4. Teaching that he is God

John 8:24 - “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in you sins.”
John 14:10-11 - “Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves".

5. Eternal as God

Matthew 28:18 – “Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me’”.
John 16:28 - “now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father”.
John 20:28 - “And Thomas answered and said to Him, ‘My Lord and my God!’”.
Titus 2:13 - “looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ”.
Hebrews 1:8-9 - “But to the Son He (God) says: ‘Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions’”.
2 Peter 1:1 - “To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ”.
Conclusion: Jesus is eternal as God.

6. Accused of being equal to God

John 10:30-33 - “Jesus answered them, ‘I and My Father are one.’ Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, ‘Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?’ The Jews answered Him, saying, ‘For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.’”
John 5:17-18 - “The Jews sought to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God”.
“The high priest said to him, ‘I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.’ ‘You have said so,’ Jesus replied. ‘But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.’ Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, ‘He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses?’” (Matthew 26:63-65).
